Maybe it's me, but I just could not connect with Jenna and Josh. The plot was different in that we meet them, they connect and then jump ahead six years to them being married and facing a crossroads in their marriage.
That's all fine for a storyline, but Jenna was selfish, unwilling to compromise.

Josh seemed to be weak, allowing her to walk all over him. I just could not love this book or this couple. I have never read a book by Shanna Hatfield that I didn't love.

Her books make me laugh and cry. This book kept me guessing but I knew it would have a happy ending. This story reminds me that God holds life death in His hands. I am thankful that Josh waited patiently for Jenna to come to terms with the changes in their lives.
Too many couples today run to divorce court without trying to weather the storm of life. My only complaint is I have read two other books with this same cover.
I just can't say enough good things about this book. I loved getting to see how Clay and 3some in South California were doing from the book Hearts of Clay and this book had myelaughing and in tears. Such a sweer clean tender romance.Morgantown West Virginia Horny Sluts
The characters were just so real and full of emotions. This book took me on a wonderful journey with twists and turns that made it very hard to put the book down.
The ending was outstanding! Shanna is a gifted author her books have become ones I seek out to read.

All have given me hours of pure enjoyment. I couldn't put it down and it's written Country boy looking for sweet down home girl that you don't have to read the other in the series to know what's going on but you will miss a great series of you don't.
I love all of Shanna Hatfield books, especially her series. The Women of Tenacity series is one of my favorites. City Girl is also one of my favorite stories.
The charactors are so real, I feel like I know them all. This book gives fun, laughter, hope, and even a few tears. It has everything with a happy ending. I especially love the setting of the book and wish I could visit the town of Tenacity.
All the surrounding area is perfect descriptions of Oregon near Portand. There is so much love in this story and I am glad I still had the tissue box handy for those sad parts. Bpy have fallen in love with these characters and their families.
Definitely recommend reading this story and the series. Great story of love exemplified love is patient and kind. Let's hear it, ladies! There are plenty of powerful women making great records in country music.
